Lindsay Burks Lindsay is a dance and gymnastics teacher at Style. She has been dancing since the age of five. She has training in ballet, lyrical, jazz, clogging, tap, pointe, gymnastics, and hip-hop. Lindsay began her training at Dance Plus Studio and continued training at Style Dance Academy. She furthered her training in ballet at Jordan College Academy of Dance for four years. Lindsay has received numerous scholarships while dancing, including Clifton Dance Project in Huntington Beach, CA, EDGE Performing Arts in Los Angeles, Chicago, Kansas City, and the Broadway Dance Center in NYC. Lindsay has also received awards such as National Dance Alliance All-American for three years, NDA Top-All American Dancer, and was named Teen and Senior Miss Dance Indiana. One her greatest memories at Style was receiving Best of the Best at Applause Nationals 2006 with her best friends. Lindsay graduated from Franklin Community High School in 2007 and is currently a senior at Franklin College. She will graduate in the spring with a degree in Sociology (Social Work Track), with a minor in Psychology and Women’s Studies. She has also been involved in clubs, volunteer work, and a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha fraternity. Also during her time at Franklin she has served through AmeriCorps with Prevent Child Abuse Johnson County. Lindsay’s love for dance and the people surrounding her at Style have made her become the young woman she is today.
