Kari Kermode Kari is the co-owner and co-director of Style Dance Academy. Her dream of teaching dance and gymnastics began at a very early age. She choreographed her first routine at the age of 12 for her younger sister, Alisha. She continued working with Alisha for the next 8 years. Through the sisters' hard work and dedication, they formed a dream of one day opening their own studio. Kari has been dancing since the age of four. She is trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, gymnastics, and cheerleading. She trained at local studios and gymnastics schools growing up. She also trained at Ball State University in dance and IUPUI in Physical Education. Kari was an All-American for the National Cheerleading Association, a 1998 Student Athlete for a WTHR, and the 1998 Miss Senior Dance of Indiana. Her students have traveled nationwide receiving numerous scholarships and awards. Kari has also received many choreography awards for her innovative choreography. Recently, Kair's students received 1st place overall at a National Dance Competition. She gives a great deal of credit to her students for their hard work and their passion for the art of dance. In addition to Kari's dance family, her and her husband Steve have 3 children: Keaton, Hayden, and Kearsley. Kari gives much deserved credit to her mother, Debbie, who has helped start this business and who continues to work to help her daughters be successful. | Kari Kermode | Alisha Slaughter | Debbie Tresslar | Laurel Foley | Shannon Sims | Danielle Kinnett | Steve Kermode | Trish Clark | Holly Miller | Peggy Harris | Benni Burgett | Anne Smock | Abby Umphress | Lindsay Burks | Courtney Deem | Brittany Wise | | Return Home | Class Information | Style Staff | The Style Company | Art of Dance Indianapolis | Contact Us/Directions | Guestbook | Photo Gallery | What They Say | News | |
